Research in the Johnson lab focuses on the ecology and evolution of marine species.
We are particularly interested in understanding natural selection in wild populations, and how an evolutionarily-informed approach to studying population dynamics can help manage populations in the face of environmental change.
Our research combines detailed, field studies of species' demography with quantitative genetic analyses and mathematical models of population dynamics. Please see the research page for more detail about particular projects.
